Titanium solids are as diverse as the applications in which they are used.  As a company with its origins in titanium scrap recycling, Global Titanium can supply many different forms and alloys.  The company employs a full complement of cutting, shearing, shredding, blasting, and crushing equipment to size material to meet specific needs.

Global Titanium produces a single, standard-size briquette that measures 3 1/2" in diameter by approximately 2" in thickness.  However, there are several options in regards to chemistry and raw materials that compose the briquette.  Below are descriptions of these different products.  Click on the title of each to see an example chemistry of that briquette type.

CP Sponge Briquette

The CP sponge briquette is produced from titanium sponge fines.

CP Turnings Briquette

The CP turnings briquette is produced from CP titanium turnings.  The fines are produced from crushing and washing CP titanium turnings and are smaller than 10 mesh in size.

Ferro Turnings Briquette

The ferro turnings briquette is produced from ferro-grade titanium turnings.  The fines are produced from crushing and washing ferro-grade titanium turnings and are smaller than 10 mesh in size.

Titanium Scrap

Turnings

Global Titanium purchases turnings generated from machining operations.  These turnings are crushed, cleaned to remove dirt and oil, dried, and sized to meet customer specifications.

Global Titanium can supply any titanium alloy turnings and with over 1,000 MT of monthly capacity and an on-site laboratory, customers can be assured that Global Titanium has the production capacity to meet their needs and the quality controls in place to produce a consistent product.

Cobbles

Titanium cobbles are manufactured by crushing thin-gauge titanium scraps, cleaning to remove dirt and oil, and sizing to meet customer specifications.  The product is used in electron beam and plasma hearth melting processes to produce new titanium metal.  Titanium cobbles are also an excellent material for use as an alloying additive for the production of steel and foundry products.

Global Titanium can supply cobbles made from a number of different titanium alloys and commercially pure titanium.

Sponge

Titanium sponge is produced via a chemical reaction between titanium tetrachloride and either magnesium or sodium.  The resulting material is typically 99.0% titanium or greater with trace amounts of other elements.  Titanium sponge is available in a wide variety of sizes ranging from 20 mesh X down to 1" and greater.

Global Titanium can supply titanium sponge and screen material for customers.  With an extensive supply network, Global Titanium can source a wide variety of sponge types with the chemical makeup to meet nearly any customer need.  And with a full array of processing equipment, Global Titanium can sort and segregate sponge and sponge fines for use in many different applications.
